Minot, ND – September 20, 2013 – Investors Real Estate Trust (NYSE: IRET) (NYSE: IRETP) (NYSE:IRETPRB) is pleased to announce that Mark Reiling, Executive Vice President of Asset Management, has received the NAIOP Minnesota Chapter’s 2013 Presidents Award, which recognizes a founder, catalyst, or promoter of the industry’s economic or professional growth; his service to NAIOP; and/or service to the community.
Mr. Reiling, based out of Eden Prairie, MN, joined IRET in 2012 to lead IRET’s Asset Management division, and is currently leading apartment development projects around the Minneapolis Metro market. Prior to his employment with IRET, he spent 30 years at Towle Real Estate Company (now Cassidy Turley), acting as President for 18 of those years. In total, Mr. Reiling has 33 years of diversified real estate experience in real estate finance, brokerage, asset and property management, development, investment and consulting.
Mr. Reiling holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Notre Dame, and has earned the designations of CRE from the Counselors of Real Estate, as well as SIOR from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. Along with earning his esteemed designations, Mark has also held the position of local chapter chair in both organizations.
He has served on the boards of the Downtown Council of St. Paul, where he was chairman, the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, St. Paul Convention & Visitors Bureau, Catholic Charities, St. Thomas Academy, University of St. Thomas Real Estate Advisory Board and Safari Club International.
